The Victorian double-tulip design on the Framingham Bracelet was inspired by the decorative forms on the historic iron rail surrounding Framingham's Downtown common which designer Ross Miller incorporated into a new arch at the common's entrance.

Interestingly, when going through a town storage area, Park & Rec Director Bob Merusi came across some molds used to cast the double-tulip accents on the iron rail.   The molds were given to the contractor on the Downtown Common project to use.

Created originally to raise funds for the Downtown Common project, the bracelet was designed as a classic piece of jewelry commemorating Framingham's rich history.

The limited edition bracelet is handcrafted in sterling silver and bronze by Vera Jewelers in downtown Framingham.   The bracelet is available in three sizes and $50 of the $100 donation is tax deductible.

The revitalized Downtown Common is a place of beauty and peace in the center of brisk activity - a place made possible by all of us who take pride in bringing out the best of our town and by the 200+ people who have already bought the Framingham Bracelet.

Now that the Downtown Common project is finished, proceeds from the sale of the bracelet will fund grants to cultural and educational organizations for a variety of Framingham programs and performances, including the popular Concerts on the Common, Heritage Chorale, Framingham Historical Society & Museum, Downtown Solutions, Civic League, Danforth Museum, Creative Arts Council, Framingham Library, Performing Arts Center, and Framingham students visits to museums, concerts, and theaters.

The Framingham Cultural Council hopes that the Framingham Bracelet will become a phenomenon like the Cape Cod bracelet. Like the Cape Cod bracelet, it is handmade in limited quantities by local craftsmen, is simple, elegant, and made not to slip off the wrist. Unlike the Cape Cod bracelet, you don't have to go to Cape Cod and wait in line to get one.

Just mail in the form below with your check and a Framingham Bracelet will soon be on its way to you, or to a friend as a gift for a special occasion.
