Charles Henry Parkhurst (1842-1933)
Born in Framingham, Mass., Parkhurst is best known for his
activities as president of "The Society for the Prevention of Crime",
which exposed political corruption in the (New York) Tammany Hall scandal.
Parkhurst's writings include "Our Fight with Tammany", (1895), and
