FRAMINGHAM, MA -- The Performing Arts Center of MetroWest presents a special benefit performance with Grammy winning recording artist Bill Harley on Friday, November 30 at 7pm at the new Framingham High School Auditorium, 115 A Street in Framingham, MA.

A nationally recognized family entertainer, Bill Harley is known for his ability to delight both children and adults with his unique blend of song and story. Bringing insight and humor to his observations about growing up and parenting, Harley’s concerts feature original material about today’s world. Entertainment Weekly calls Harley “the Mark Twain of kids’ music,” TV Guide describes him as “a real find…humorous, canny, and supremely tuneful,” and the Providence Journal dubs his work “unabashedly terrific.”

Harley has released over twenty award-winning recordings of songs and stories for kids and families, as well as a concert video. His recordings have been honored with a Grammy, Parents’ Choice Gold awards, and numerous
American Library Association Notable Recording citations. Among his songs and stories are such favorites as “Dad Threw the TV Out the Window,” “Monsters in the Bathroom,” and “The Battle of the Mad Scientists.” Harley has also authored several picture books, as well as his first novel for children, The Amazing Flight of Darius Frobisher. Harley’s CDs, tapes and books will be on sale at the performance.

The Performing Arts Center of MetroWest (PAC) is an accredited, non-profit center dedicated to offering high quality instruction and performance opportunities in music, theater, and dance. The concert will benefit PAC’s
many programs as well as provide funds for the PAC Scholarship Fund, which gives aid to students who have financial difficulties for classes, productions and private lessons.

The Friday evening concert is open to all ages and is handicapped accessible. Advance tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for children age 12 and under and seniors over age 65.
