Educational Forum on Immigration

FRAMINGHAM, MA -- The Framingham Human Relations Commission sponsors its second educational forum on the topic of immigration on Thursday, April 12, 2007 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM in Nevins Hall in the Memorial Building, 150 Concord Street, Framingham.

Guest speakers will include: Marcia Drew Hohn, EdD, Director of Public Education for the Immigrant Learning Center who will speak about immigrant entrepreneurs, and their contribution to the revitalization of cities and American culture.

Kirk Carter, Esq., immigrant attorney for Fletcher, Tilton and Whipple who will address laws pertaining to immigrant documentation, the process for obtaining permanent residence status, and the new laws that are facing Congress today.

There will be an opportunity to submit questions to the panel at the conclusion of the presentations.

The forum is open to the public, and all interested parties are encouraged to attend.
