Traffic Alert: Less Road, Sewer and Bridge Detours

Danforth Street Bridge remains closed.

FRAMINGHAM, MA- For the first time this year, there is actually less road work, less sewer construction and should be less detours and traffic delays in Framingham.

With winter coming many of Framingham's capital construction projects will be paving over the work sites that are either completed, or will be put on hold until the spring thaw.

The Fountain Street bridge is no longer on the list!  Work to finish that project has been completed this week and motorists can once again use the bridge.

Night work along Rt. 126, south of Rt. 9 - near Downtown Framingham, construction crews will begin to install crosswalks, (on Concord Street between Gorman Road and Lincoln Street), on Friday, November 18th through Sunday, November 20th during the overnight hours. Framingham Company Launches New Online Deals Website

Framingham based Vici Group, Inc. launches new concept in group buying.

FRAMINGHAM, MA - Vici Group, Inc., a web services company located at 41 Beacon Street, Framingham believes its approach to the online deals market is different enough from Groupon, Woot, DailyDeal and other group buying websites to cut into the lucrative discount online shopping market.  Maybe it is.

Yesterday, (Oct. 31, 2011), the company launched it's myVici.com website which takes its name from the latin "vici" meaning "conquer" and hopes the concept they've come up with will allow consumers to conquer the online deals marketplace.

Motorists driving on Concord St., approaching the top of A Street should be prepared to stop as Police controlled single-lane alternating traffic patterns are in use at this construction site.

FRAMINGHAM, MA- Roadwork on several major capital improvement projects in town will continue this week, (Monday through Friday, August 1st through August 5th, 2011).

Delays due to traffic and detours around some of the work sites can add to driving times, so motorists should plan accordingly.

The Town of Framingham's Department of Public Works / Highway Division / Capital Projects website offers residents and visitors to Framingham helpful information about current and upcoming construction projects.
