Middle & High School Essay Contest: "What I Love about Framingham"

2015 Framingham Essay Contest

Entries due by Monday, February 23rd, 2015 at 5:00pm.

FRAMINGHAM, MA - Calling all middle and high school students! Tell us what you love about our town by writing a 500 word essay.

Include three or more features of Framingham that you love. Possible topics; your school, Framingham Public Library, Framingham sports, our history, multicultural community, or something you love about the town.

All essays will be awarded a thank you gift. One winning essay from each middle & high school will be chosen and read by the author at the Deluxe Depot Diner, Thursday February 26th, 2015 at 6:00pm.

20% of proceeds to be donated to the Framingham Public Library Foundation.

Staples To Give Small Businesses a Push with Free Advertising

Framingham, MA based Staples Inc. to award (5) small businesses with $50k each in free t.v. advertising, (or they can take $40k in advertising and $10k in cash!)

FRAMINGHAM, MA - The 6th annual Staples National Small Business Survey (NASDAQ: SPLS) found that seven out of 10 small business owners are optimistic about the future. Further, 52 percent of small business owners revealed they would grow their business through advertising and direct marketing if they had a larger marketing budget. To help address this need, Staples today launched the Staples “Give Your Small Business the Push It Needs” contest to make it easy for five small businesses to win up to $50,000 each in free television advertising in their home market.

Fuller Middle Students learning t.v. production in after-school club are finalists in county-wide Public Service Announcement contest.

Framingham, MA - Sixth and seventh graders from the Fuller Middle School who have participated in an after-school program at Framingham Public Access are among the finalists in Middlesex County District Attorney Gerry Leone's new Cyber-Safety PSA Contest.

Ugliest Tomato Contest

FRAMINGHAM, MA -- Can you grow the ugliest tomato in Framingham? Bring your fresh picked "Ugliest Tomato" to the Framingham Farmers' Market on Thursday, August 24th, 2006. Enter your homely homegrown for a chance to win a full basket of fresh farmer's market products.

The winner will be selected by market-goers' popular vote. So, if you don't have a tomato, come anyway to vote and buy fresh produce, bakery, and maple products from 12:30 - 5:30 p.m.

The Framingham Farmers' Market is held every Thursday afternoon, 12:30 - 5:30 p.m., on the Edgell Rd side of the Framingham Centre Common through October.
