FREE Electronics Recycle Event for Framingham residents, July 11th, 2012.

FRAMINGHAM, MA - On Wednesday, July 11, 2012, from 12:00 Noon until 8:00pm, the Town of Framingham Recycling Center is holding a *Free! Electronics Recycle Event.

Framingham residents can drop off "anything with a power cord or a power button", (tv sets, computers, kitchen appliances, home entertainment equipment, computers, monitors, vacuum cleaners -- if it has a power cord or power button, they'll take it!)

Residents do not have to have a recycle center sticker for this event, but will be asked to produce a drivers license showing they are a Framingham resident.

FRAMINGHAM, MA - On Wednesday, August 31, 2011, from 12:00 Noon until 8:00pm, the Town of Framingham Recycling Center is holding a *Free! Electronics Recycle Event.

Framingham residents can drop off "anything with a power cord or a power button", (tv sets, computers, kitchen appliances, home entertainment equipment, computers, monitors, vacuum cleaners -- if it has a power cord or power button, they'll take it).

Residents do not have to have a recycle center sticker for this event, but will be asked to produce a drivers license showing they are a Framingham resident.

*As this is being promoted as a "free" event, the Recycling Center will waive the normal $10 permit fee for residents who donate (1) non-perishable food item for each electronic item dropped-off.

The food items will be donated to Framingham-based food pantries.

Electronics will be recycled by E. L. Harvey & Sons, Inc.

The Framingham Recycling Center is located 255 Mt. Wayte Ave.,  (the building which was formerly the town incinerator is located between Franklin St. and Fountain St., across from the Juvenile Court, near Farm Pond).

Newly hired Keefe Tech Principal Jonathan Evans

Framingham, MA - Joseph P. Keefe Technical School Superintendent-Director James Lynch is pleased to announce that Jonathan Evans, current Director of Student Services, will succeed Patricia Canali as the school's new Principal.

Superintendent Lynch stated that Evans' appointment is effective July 1, 2011. According to Lynch, "I have made this decision after a very thorough search process that included a broadly publicized posting, 14 applicants, 6 semifinalists, 4 finalists, two lengthy and probing interviews, and a detailed review of recommendations and references. I am convinced that Mr. Evans is the very best candidate for this important leadership position. I look forward to working with him as Principal and as we go forward to continue to improve our school and service our students."

Evans has served the Keefe Tech school community for 15 years, beginning his career as an intern in the Guidance Department in while he was earning a Master of Education in Counseling. He came aboard as a full-time Guidance Counselor in the 1997-1998 school year, and advanced to the position of Lead Counselor and then Director of Guidance and Admissions over the next ten years. FRAMINGHAM, MA - On Wednesday June 16, 2010, from 12:00 Noon until 8:00pm, the Town of Framingham Recycle Center is holding a Free! Electronics Recycle Event.

Framingham residents can drop off "anything with a cord", (tv sets, computers, kitchen appliances, home entertainment equipment, computers, monitors, vacuum cleaners -- if it has a cord, they'll take it).

Residents do not have to have a recycle center sticker for this event, but will be asked to produce a license showing they are a Framingham resident.

In lieu of payment, the Recycle Center is asking that residents donate (1) non-perishable food item for each electronic item dropped-off.  The food items will be donated to local food pantries.

The Framingham Recycle Center is located 255 Mt. Wayte Ave.,  (between Franklin St. and Fountain St., accross from Farm Pond).
