After School Recess: Ages 7-12 - Kids get fit and have tons of fun. Running, jumping, relay races and more. October 16, 18, 20, from 3:30-4:15 P.M. Classes held at Bowditch. Register Sept. 27th. $15.00
Aikido: Ages 8-14. Martial art system of self-defense that develops a strong, flexible body and a relaxed mind. Classes held Saturdays 1:30 - 2:30 P.M. at Framingham Aikikai, 61 Fountain St., beginning October 14, 2006. Fee is $40.00 for 6 classes. Register Sept. 27th at Park & Rec. office.
Baby-Sitting Certification Course: Ages 11-15. Saturdays October 28th and November 4th 9:30 A.M. - 2:30 P.M. at the Park and Recreation Office. Register Sept. 27th. - $75.00.
Baton: Ages 5 and up. Classes held between 6:00 - 9:30 P.M. on Wednesdays at the Stapleton Gym. Register at the Park and Recreation Office September 27th. $40.00 for 11 weeks. Length of class varies with age levels. Classes begin Wednesday, September 27th.
Beanie Baby Boot Camp: Adults - Entry costs two new or used beanie babies, which will be donated to soldiers, who then give the toys to the kids on the streets. Fun, exciting workout at Bowditch. Youth Bowling League: ages 7 - 17. $10.00/wk includes 3 strings of bowling, shoes, instruction, banquet, and awards. League begins Fri. Sept. 15th, 3:30 to 5:00 P.M. Register on first day at Fairway Bowling, Rte. 9 in Natick. For more info call 508 653-5820. Late registrations will be accepted.
Dance: Creative Movement for ages 3 & 4, Fridays at 3:00 PM; Pre-Ballet for ages 5 - 7, Fridays at 3:45 P.M. Classes held at Suzanne Perdue Studio, Rt. 20 Marlboro beginning October 13th. 6 weeks for $40. Register September 27th at the Park & Recreation Office.

Horseback Riding Lessons: Ages 8 to Adult. Classes on Sundays, Noon to 1:00 P.M. Classes are held at Glean Maura Farm, Ashland beginning October 15th; 5 weeks, $250.00. Registration begins September 27th at the Park and Recreation Office.
Karate: Ages 6-12. Saturdays 12:15 - 1:00 P.M. beginning October 14th. Register at the Recreation Office September 27th 6-weeks, $60.00. Classes are held at 885 Waverly Street Studio.
Adult Self Defense: Age 13 to Adult at Nick Cerio's Kenpo, Karate & Jujitsu. Includes aerobic workout, muscle toning and stretching, self-defense techniques. Classes held Mondays & Wednesdays at 885 Waverly St. from 7:00-8:00 PM beginning Oct. 16, 2006. The fee is $60 for 6 classes. Register September 27th at the Recreation Office.
Keyboard Lessons:
I: Grades 1 & 2 on Sundays 12:30-1:30 PM.
II: Grades 3 - 5 on Sundays 1:30-2:30 PM starts Nov. 19th.
III: Grades 6-8 on Mondays 6:15-7:15 PM starts Nov. 20th.
Classes consist of 5 lessons, including 1 private session. Register Sept. 27th at the Rec. Office for a $50 fee. Classes taught at Paula Giles' Studio, 44 Lake Rd., 877-8143. Piano or Keyboard is needed for home use.

Kid Fit: Ages 5-17.Fitness Program with emphasis on weight loss and weight control offered at the Suburban Athletic Club. Times vary. 39 sessions for $260. Register September 27th at Rec.Office.
Kids Just Love Crafts: Ages 2 - 4. Tuesday 10:30 - 11:15 A.M. Classes begin October 10th at the Recreation Dept. 6-weeks for $40. Register at the Recreation Office Sept. 27th.
Music, Mommy and Me: Music appreciation, rhythm exercises; begins Tuesday, October 17, 2006 - 9:30-10:15, 11:30-12:15, or 3:30-4:15 ages 6 months-24 months; 10:30-11:15 or 2:30-3:15 ages 2-3; 4:30-5:15 Spanish ages 2-5. Classes run for 6-weeks - $36 (Non-residents $45) Framingham residents register Sept. 26th. All classes are held at the Cushing Bldg., Dudley Rd.
New York Shopping Spree: December 2nd, Depart at 7:00 A.M. Return at 11:00 P.M. $42.00, Registration will be held September 27th at the Recreation office.
Pre-School Playgroups: Ages 2 1/2 - 4, informal group play, and social interaction at the Cushing Building, Dudley Road. Registration begins September 27th, at the Rec. office; Monday or Thursday for age 2 1/2, Wednesday or Friday for ages 3 & 4, 9:45 - 11:15. Fee is $32 (8 classes). Classes begin the week of October 16th.
Public Swim: All ages: Saturdays 3:00 - 4:30 P.M. and Sundays 2:00 - 3:30 P.M. at the Keefe Pool. Fee: $4.00 - Adult, $2.00 - Youth; program begins in November and runs through April.
Scavenger Hunts: Join the Conservation Commission at various Town Conservation Lands on October 3rd, 10th, 17th, or 24th from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. Call the Conservation Office for more information and to register for one of these free events (508-532-5460). Due to popularity of this program, families may only register for one program.
Senior Citizen Exercise: Tuesdays 10:00 - 10:45 A.M. at the Callahan Center. Ongoing, no fee.
Senior Citizen Swim: Saturdays 2:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M. Keefe Pool; begins in November. Free.
Skating / Learn to Skate: Ages 5-10. Register Thursday, October 12th 5:30 to 6:30 P.M. at Loring Arena Lessons held Saturdays at Loring Arena at 10:00 A.M. beginning November 4th. The fee for the 6 lessons is $30. (Non-residents $35.00).
Beginner Hockey: ages 5-10. Register Thursday, October 12th 5:30 to 6:30 P.M. at Loring Arena Saturdays at Loring Arena at 9:00 A.M. 6 wks for $30. (Non-residents $35.00) Begins November 4th.
Public Skating: Mon.10-2, Tues. - Fri. 10-12, Sun 2:00-3:45. Begins Sept. 18th at Loring Arena. $4.00 Adults, $3.00 12 and under. Stick Time: Tues. - Thurs. 12:15 - 2:00 P.M. $5.00. Call (508) 620-4877 for info.
Swim Lessons: Pre-school (ages 3 & 4) to Adult levels. Registration for Framingham Residents only will be at the Recreation Office on Thursday evening, October 19th from 6:00 - 7:30 P.M. Fee is $30.00 for Framingham residents for 6 lessons. Classes will begin November 4, subject to the completion of the renovations at the Keefe Tech Pool.
Swim Team: Ages 6 -18. Registration will be at Loring Arena, Saturday, October 14th from 9:00 A.M. - 10:00 A.M. Begins in November - evening practice times TBA. 20 weeks; $110.00 per child, $175.00 per family.
Ski / Snowboard Lessons: Nashoba Valley - Sunday mornings; Ski Ward - Thursday afternoons. Classes begin in January. Prices and times to be announced. Register Thursday, November 30th, 6:00 - 7:30 P.M. at the Park & Recreation Office.
Tennis Lessons (Adult): 6 weeks, $72 at the Tri Valley Tennis Club in Ashland. Classes are held Thursdays 6:00-7:00 PM for Beginners, Sundays 5:00 - 6:00 P.M. for Intermediates. Registration begins Sept. 27th at the Rec. Office. First class begins Oct. 12th or October 15th.
Tennis Lessons (Youth): 6 weeks, $72 at the Tri Valley Tennis Club in Ashland. Classes are held on Sundays from 5:00 - 6:00 PM for ages 6 -14. First class begins on October 15th. Registration begins Sept. 27th at the Recreation Office.
Tennis Lessons (Outdoor): Ages 15-18, 6 weeks $72, Tuesdays 4:00-5:30 Winch Tennis Courts, Classes begin September 19th. Registration ongoing at the Recreation Office.
Tumble & Splash: Ages 3 to 5 yrs. Child Development class sponsored by Suburban Child, a division of the Suburban Athletic Club. Friday or Saturday 9:00-10:30 begins November 3rd or 4th. 6 weeks $99.00. Register September 27that the Park & Recreation Office.

Registrations are held at the Recreation Office, 475 Union Ave. M-F 9:00-5:00 unless noted; first day of registration for Framingham residents only, second day for non-residents, with a non-resident fee, if space is available. Services and fees are subject to change pending Town Meeting Appropriations. A limited amount of registrations are available on-line at the same time as walk-in registration. All programs are non-refundable; classes are limited and based on a first come first served basis. The Town of Framingham intends to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
