Framingham Traffic Alerts Week of April 18-24, 2021

Drivers are alerted to Be Prepared To Stop, (and wait), as construction continues on many roads in Framingham.

FRAMINGHAM, MA - Motorists are advised that there may be construction work being performed during daytime hours on the following roads in Framingham during the week of April 18th - 24th, 2021. Please note: Construction schedules are weather permitting and subject to change.

Citywide Street Sweeping - visit the Street Sweeping Page for anticipated schedule and maps, which will be updated regularly. All roads will have signage posted in advance of the sweepers entering the neighborhoods. Please do not park in the street when signs are posted. Cars will be towed if obstructing street sweeping equipment.

Edgell Road Gas Main Replacement - Eversource gas will continue replacing gas main on Edgell Road between the Nobscot intersection and Donovan Drive. Expect moderate delays. Lane shifts and a one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect.

Leland and Irving Streets Sidewalk Improvements - sidewalk work continues. Expect minor delays. A two-way and/or one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. Police details will be on-site to facilitate traffic.

Mt. Wayte Avenue - Gas Main and Regulator Pit Replacement (Between Union Avenue and Franklin Street) – Eversource will continue gas main work on Mt. Wayte Avenue. Expect moderate delays. A partial road closure will be in effect on Mt. Wayte Avenue eastbound. Traffic traveling eastbound will be detoured.

Nobscot Intersection Improvements - contractors will continue installing drainage on Edgell Road. Eversource Electric will relocate aerial wires on Water Street. Expect moderate delays. A two-way and/or one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect.

Osmose Utility Citywide Utility Pole Inspections (Verizon) - Dig safe paint markings will be noticeable in the public right-of-way near telephone poles throughout the City for Osmose’s Citywide utility pole inspections. Sewer Manhole Inspections for the Infiltration/Inflow Source Removal Program - consultant will conduct sewer manhole inspections near Worcester Road, Pleasant Street, Temple Street, Millwood Street, Woodmere Road, Berkeley Road, Grove Street, Edmands Road, Crossing Boulevard, and Staples Drive areas. Expect minor delays at times.

Walsh Street Sewer Main Replacement - The Wastewater Division will begin preparations for sewer main replacement on Walsh Street at Richwood Street. Expect minor delays.

Wood Terrace Water Main Replacement - work continues. Wood Terrace will be open to residents and emergency vehicles only during construction.

Week of Patriots Day - Trash & Recycling Delay:

There will be no trash/recycling collection on Monday, April 19, in observance of Patriots’ Day. Trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day for the rest of the week.
