FRAMINGHAM, MA<\/strong> -- Introducing BeachAlert<\/strong>, a comprehensive notification system designed to keep residents informed about the status of Framingham\u2019s three public beaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BeachAlert provides timely updates, ensuring that residents are well-informed about beach closures, openings, and other essential information pertaining to the beach conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through BeachAlert, residents can receive real-time notifications directly to their preferred devices, such as smartphones, tablets, or computers. The system leverages cutting-edge technology and reliable data sources to deliver accurate and up-to-date information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

As of today, July 19, 2023 both Learned Pond beach and Lake Waushakum beach are closed due to bacteria.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Beach closures due to water contamination, severe weather conditions, or any other factors will be promptly communicated, enabling residents to adjust their plans accordingly and prioritize their safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of today, July 19, 2023 both Learned Pond beach and Lake Waushakum beach are closed due to bacteria. Conversely, BeachAlert will also notify residents when the beaches are ready for reopening<\/strong> after closures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The BeachAlert system aims to create a stronger and more connected community by empowering residents with crucial beach-related information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By providing accurate and timely notifications, BeachAlert ensures that residents can make informed decisions and stay well-prepared for their beach outings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To sign up, visit the City's \"Notify Me\" page at: https:\/\/www.framinghamma.gov\/list.aspx<\/a>, provide an email address or smartphone number where you'd like to receive the alerts then select which types of alerts you'd like to receive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with Beach Alerts<\/strong>, on the same web page you can also subscribe to \"Municipal News and Announcements<\/strong>\", \"Public Works Notices<\/strong>\", \"Sanitary Sewer Overflow Notices<\/strong>\", \"Emergency Alerts<\/strong>\", info about municipal \"Bids<\/strong>\" and notices about \"Sustainability<\/strong>\" events. Periodically, the City also adds notification sign-up related to specific projects, such as (current)<\/strong> announcements related to the \"Walnut Street Flood Mitigation project<\/strong>\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n
