The FDA warning cite issues at numbers 8, 31, 45, 49, 51, 55, 68, 74, 76 and 80 New York Ave, Framingham MA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1046\" height=\"666\" src=\"https:\/\/www.framingham.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/sanofi-genzyme-new-york-ave-framingham.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11523\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.framingham.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/sanofi-genzyme-new-york-ave-framingham.jpg 1046w, https:\/\/www.framingham.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/sanofi-genzyme-new-york-ave-framingham-300x191.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.framingham.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/sanofi-genzyme-new-york-ave-framingham-150x96.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.framingham.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/sanofi-genzyme-new-york-ave-framingham-768x489.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1046px) 100vw, 1046px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">One of many Sanofi \/ Genzyme building located along New York Ave., in Framingham MA industrial park. <em>(Image courtesy of Google Maps \/ Steet View).<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The warning concerned \"deviations\" from Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) in Sanofi\/Genzyme's \"active pharmaceutical ingredient\" (API) processes including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>failure to investigate all critical deviations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>high-pressure events associated with product leakage during the transfer of bulk&nbsp;shipping bags<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>failure to document all investigational activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>excessive percent of bioreactor runs rejected for contamination or other quality failures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>multiple microbiological contamination events<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>repeated deviation from validated manufacturing processes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>failure to have equipment of the appropriate design and suitability for their intended use<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The letter instructs Genzyme's Sanofi operation in Framingham to \"<em>correct any deviations promptly.
