FRAMINGHAM, MA<\/strong> - The Town of Framingham Department of Planning & Economic Development has announced an art competition open to \"...art students attending a school in Massachusetts enrolled in an art or design course\"<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The competition: Design a \"bus wrap\"<\/em><\/strong> for the Town's public transit system. Designs are sought for side panels, (below and above windows) and rear panel of the Town's LIFT bus vehicles.<\/p>\n

Wanted: a colorful, attractive, inventive bus wrap to promote public transit.<\/h2>\n

The design should inform, entertain, and ultimately attract new users of public transit in Framingham.<\/p>\n

There is one $1000.00 grand prize and four $50 prizes.<\/p>\n

Student \/ artists are encouraged to submit designs that are \"...creative, fun, surprising, even comic and promote the use of public transit by a wide range of people\"<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Selected designs will be hung at Framingham Town Hall April 12 to May 12. Artists will be invited to attend an opening reception April 17, Patriot's Day.<\/p>\n

Deadline for the competition is Monday, April 3, 2006<\/strong>, so be sure to download and print out the General Information and Rules and Entry Form (PDF) files and start working on your entry now!<\/p>\n
