Called F-Cubed (short for Finding Framingham\u2019s Forte), the performance is billed as a showcase for artistic expression in three dimensions. It is a student-created and student-run production featuring original and cover music performed by three bands and some acoustic acts drawing from <!--more-->rock, jazz and folk music traditions. Even some faculty members are getting into the act. The music throughout the show is accompanied by the added dimensions of dance and video.<\/p>\n<p>Conceived by student Patrick Greeley as his senior independent study project, he said the idea is to give students from different disciplines a new way of collaborating as well as providing a platform for talented students. \u201cThere are so many creative and talented musicians, dancers, photographers and videographers at FHS, but not all of them get a chance to really show what they can do and there\u2019s not one opportunity to put this kind of talent all on one stage,\u201d Greeley said.<\/p>\n<p>Greeley and his co-producer, senior Jesse Combs, have had the support of a three faculty advisors, Flyer News promotional support from fellow senior, Aaron Schine, technical direction from senior Sean O\u2019Leary and web site support from senior Emad Taliep. Featured bands include The Sessions, Ethics, and Good Cop\/Bad Cop. Singer and guitarist Mia Cross and keyboardist and singer Harry Meltzer are also in the line-up. The teacher performers are Alison Courchesne, Mark Morabito and Chris Strader.<\/p>\n<p>Proceeds from F-Cubed will be split between the school district\u2019s performing arts budget and the Framingham High School Drama Company\u2019s trip to the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland in August.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are $10 and are reserved seating only --There will be no tickets sold at the door -- Tickets are available at www.ticketstage.com or through the show\u2019s website at www.findingforte.com<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FRAMINGHAM, MA \u2013 There has never been a show at Framingham High School like the one coming up on Friday, February 12th at 7pm.
