Framingham, MA<\/strong> - The Town of Framingham Solid Waste Division is holding a Household Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday, April 12th, 2014 at McCarthy Elementary, (8 Flagg Drive, Framingham, MA). You MUST<\/span> arrive between 9:00am and 1:00pm, (no<\/strong><\/span> late arrivals!).<\/p>\n

The recycling and disposal program is open to Framingham residents only, (who must show their Framingham license).\u00a0 There is no cost for residents to participate.<\/p>\n

ACCEPTED ITEMS:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

From your house:<\/strong> Aerosol paint cans \u2022 Ammonia \u2022 Bleaches \u2022 Chemistry sets \u2022 Cleaners\"\" \u2022 Drain cleaners \u2022 Dry cleaning fluid \u2022 Floor cleaners \u2022 Metal polish \u2022 Oven cleaners \u2022 Mercury items (fluorescent bulbs, thermostats, button batteries)<\/em><\/p>\n

From your yard:<\/strong> Cesspool cleaners \u2022 Insecticides \u2022 Pesticides \u2022 Weed killer \u2022 Fertilizers \u2022 Pool chemicals \u2022 Rodent killer<\/p>\n

From your garage or shed:<\/strong> Adhesives \/ glues \/ resins \u2022 Brake and transmission fluids \u2022 De-greasers \u2022 Gasoline and kerosene \u2022 Oil-based paint \u2022 Photographic chemicals \u2022 Radiator cleaner \u2022 Rust preventative \u2022 Spray paint \u2022 Stains and sealers \u2022 Thinners \/ strippers \/ solvents \u2022 Wood preservatives<\/p>\n

UNACCEPTABLE - DO NOT BRING:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u2022 Ammunition\u00a0\u2022 Asbestos\u00a0\u2022 \uf020Bulk chemicals \u2022 \uf020Explosives\u00a0\u00a0\u2022 \uf020Gunpowder \u00a0\u2022 \uf020Medical\/ biological waste (including sharps) \u00a0\u2022 \uf020PCB oils \u00a0\u2022 \uf020Radioactive waste (including smoke detectors)<\/p>\n

\uf020\uf020\u00a0\u2022 Do NOT bring items collected as part of the regular program<\/strong> at the Framingham Recycling Center (motor oil, antifreeze, propane tanks, tires, electronics and CRT devices, fire extinguishers)<\/p>\n

\u2022 \uf020NO LATEX PAINT<\/strong> - dispose of as regular trash once paint has dried completely (open the lid and add absorbent material); leave open, dried paint cans next to curbside trash or bring to the Recycling Center<\/p>\n

These items will NOT be accepted at this event<\/p>\n

\u2022 Place items upright in a box in your trunk<\/p>\n

\u2022 Drive carefully; leave pets and children at home<\/p>\n

\u2022 Do not smoke<\/p>\n

\u2022 Carpool to save time<\/p>\n

\u2022 Residents should anticipate wait times during this event; your patience is appreciated.<\/p>\n
