Mission

FLAME is an all volunteer community-based organization formed to foster goodwill, understanding, and mutually beneficial exchanges between the citizens of Framingham, Massachusetts and its sister city Lomonosov, Russia.

FLAME is a registered non-profit organization with a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt status.   All donations are deductible to the extent allowed by law.

History

FLAME is a people-to-people organization founded in 1992.   Since then over 500 Framingham residents have visited Lomonosov in various delegations leading to exchanges in:

  • Education
  • Business
  • Medicine
  • Culture
  • The Arts
  • Personal Relationships

FLAME has also facilitated similar delegations of Russians to Framingham.   In all cases, visitors stay in private homes of their sister city hosts and enjoy the warm hospitality of a different culture.
