- ADULT TRIPS: Includes Round-trip Transportation, Accomodations, and some meals.
Nantucket May 2 & 3, Atlantic City May 19-21, Myrtle Beach May 24-30, Bar Harbor June 23-26, Scotia Prince August 7-9, Lake George and Lake Placid, October 10-12,1998. Details at the Recreation Office.
- ART WORKSHOPS: Classes held for Adults. August 7th or 14th from 9:00-12:00 noon. $20.00 includes supplies. Register July 9th at the Recreation Office.
- BABY SITTING CLASS: April 27-May 18;Mondays 3:30-5:30. 4 wks./$25. Register March 26th.
- BASKETBALL CAMP: Grades 2 to 10 beginning June 22nd for 5 days -9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Full day of Skill Development, $95.00 resident, $105 non-resident. Register beginning May 20th.
- BODY TONING: Adults. Mondays and Wednesday 6:30-7:30 P.M., 6 weeks $30.00, Classes held outdoors at Bowditch beginning July 6th. Register May 20th.
- CAMP ARROWHEAD: Day Camp for Physically challenged youths, Natick, MA. Registration information by calling 620- 4834 early May.
- CAMP McCARTHY: Special Needs Day camp. Activities encourage social interaction and emotional development. To register call in early May for information. Appointment needed for first year campers.
- DANCE: Dancing Stories for ages 3 & 4, Mon. at 3:00. Creative Jazz ages 5-7, Mon. at 4:00. Held at Danforth Gym, beginning April 27th. 6 weeks $30.00. Register March 26th.
- ESPERANZA: Ages 5-11, Mondays through May 4th, 4-5:00 P.M., Pusan Road Community Center. Free
- DAY TRIPS: June 28th, Plymouth Duck Tour; July 25th, Marthas Vineyard; August 20th, Bill Fosters Lobster Bake; September 26th, Ellis Island.
- GOLF LESSONS: Adult. Outdoor lessons at Framingham Country Club. Register April 16th at Rec. Office. Prices and times TBA.
- HORSEBACK RIDING CLASSES:- Ages 8 - Adult. Classes held on Sundays Noon-1:00 P.M. at the Glean Maura Farm, Ashland. Classes begin April 26th. 5 weeks ,$120.00. Registration begins March 26th.
- KARATE: Ages 6-13, Saturdays, 12:30-1:20 P.M. beginning April 25th. Register at Recreation Office beginning March 26th. 6 weeks $35.00. Classes held at the Studio , 885 Waverly St..
- KARATE CAMP: Ages 6-13. July 13-17, 9:30-10:20 A.M., $35.00. Register May 14th at Rec. Office.
- KEEFE POOL: Public Swim Saturdays and Sundays 2:00-3:30 P.M. $2.00 fee. Ends May 17th.
- KEYBOARD: Grades 2-4, Tuesdays 5:45 - 7:00 P.M., 6 weeks begins April 7th. $30.00. Classes taught by Paula Giles, Bachelor of Music Education. Register March 11th at Recreation Office.
- KEYBOARD/ADULT: Introduction class, Tuesdays, 7:00-8:15 P.M. Starts April 7th. 6 weeks/$45. Register March 11 at the Rec.Office. Summer classes start Mon., July 6; 7:45-9:00 PM. Register May 20th.
- KIDS CRAFTS:Ages 2 - 4, Wednesdays 9:30-10:15 A.M. or 10:30 -11:15 A.M., at the Recreation Dept. Classes begin April 29th. Register at the Recreation Office, March 26th. 6 weeks $20.00.
- LACROSSE CLINIC:Grades 6-8. Boys and girls. Monday through Friday, 9:00 -11:00 for 2 consecutive weeks. Registration begins June 9th. Clinic begins July 6th - $30.00.
- LINE DANCING: Adults, Wed. 6-7 PM. Classes held at the Eagles on Park St. 6 wks./$30. Begins
April 8th. Register March 11th at the Recreation Office.
- MARY DENNISON BASKETBALL LEAGUE: Team registration $300.00. Pick up information and rosters on May 4th and return by May 29th.
- MEN'S SLOW PITCH SOFTBALL: 40 Teams, 4 divisions. Team registration $750. Pick up rosters on March 2nd at the Recreation Office. Return by March 27th.
- P.A.L. LEAGUE: Police Athletic Basketball League- ages 9-17 Monday, Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays at Danforth Gym from 7-9 P.M.
- PRE-SCHOOL PLAYGROUPS:Ages 2-4, informal group play, social interaction held at the Main Library. Must be required age by October 1, 1997. Registration begins April 2nd at the Rec.office. 9 weeks for $27. Classes begin the week of April 6th. New children accepted on a space available basis.
- PUBLIC BEACHES: Beach Tags on Sale. Monday June 8th 5:00 - 6:30 P.M., Saturday June 13th 9:30 - 11:00 A.M. $10.00 per resident, Maximum of $30.00 per family. Non-resident rates available. Waushakum Beach located off Nipmuc Road - Learneds Pond located off Lower Shawmut Terrace - Saxonville Beach located off Lake Road. Beaches will open June 25th through August 20th, 1998, 10:00 - 7:00 P.M.
- SENIOR CITIZEN EXERCISE:Tues. l0:00 - 11:00 A.M. Danforth Gym. No fee.
- SENIOR CITIZEN SOFTBALL: 55 & older, League Play. Register beginning March 12th. $50.00
- SWIM LESSONS:Classes range from Toddler (Age 3) to Basic Rescue and Water Safety. Register July 1st, 9:30 to 11:00 A.M. at the Recreation Office. 8 lessons - $25.00, 1st session begins July 6th. Second session begins July 27th. Register for second session July 22, 9:30 -11:00 at Rec. Office.
- SKYLINE: Programs for persons with disabilities. Bowling, Art, Sports etc. call 651-7267.
- SOCCER CAMPS:JOHN SMITH SOCCER CAMP:Ages 5-17, July 20-24, 9:00-Noon or 1:00-4:00 P.M. $89.00 at the Musterfield. Each camper receives a T-Shirt and soccer ball. Register April 24th at the Park and Recreation Office.BAYSTATE SOCCER SCHOOL: August 17 - 21, 1998. 1:00-4:00 PM for Under 10-Under 14; 5:00-8:00 PM for High School & College Freshman. Cost $50. Location TBA. Register April 24th at the Recreation Office.
- SUMMER RECREATION CENTERS:Ages 5 - l3. Monday through Friday. 9:00 - 3:30 P.M. Activities include Arts and Crafts, Roller-skating, Bowling, Swimming ,Sports and Field Trips. Locations: Barbieri and Potter Road schools. Three 2-week sessions. $130.00 each session. Register April 30 at the Park and Recreation Office. Parents are responsible for transporting child to and from the center.
SESSION 1 July 6 - July 17; SESSION 2 - July 20 - July 31; SESSION 3 - Aug. 3 - Aug. 14.
- SUPERVISED PLAYGROUNDS:Ages 5-12. Informal structure. Monday -Friday 9:00-1:00. July 6th - August 14th. Danforth Park and Arsenal Road. Register at the Playground July 6th. Free
- COMPETITIVE SWIM STROKES: Ages 10-18; 8 wks., Tuesdays & Thursdays - 6:00-7:30 PM. $50 Fee. Register March 11th at the Recreation Office Classes begin April 7th.
- SWIM TEAM: Ages 5 - l8. Register at the Recreation Office. Monday through Friday, June 11th through the 19th. Practice Times to be announced. $60.00 per individual - Family $110.00 (2), $150.00 (3 or more)
- LIGHTED TENNIS COURTS: Lighted courts available at Bowditch,Walsh and Winch Park 6:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. end of May through mid October.
- YOUTH TENNIS LESSONS:: Ages 6-l6. Classes taught by Carl Croci and staff. Times vary Monday through Thursday beginning July 6th. Registration begins May 20th at the Framingham Park and Recreation Office. $42.00 registration fee.
- ADULT TENNIS LESSONS: Classes taught by Carl Croci & staff. Times are Wednesday mornings, Mon.,Tues.,Wed., &Thursday evenings.8 lessons/$52. Register March 26.Classes begin May 18th.
- OPEN GYM ADULT SCHEDULE: Schedule will run through the Summer Season. $2.00 entrance fee. Danforth Gym , Tuesdays 5:30 - 8:00 P.M. Saturdays 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. Sundays 5:30 - 8:00 P.M.
- TRACK CLINIC: Ages 8-14; Wednesdays, April 29-June3; 6:15-7:15 PM. $24.00. Register March 26th.
- TRACK MEETS: All ages. Register every Wednesday at 5:30 P.M. at Bowditch Track. Begins June 10th through August 12th. Sponsored by the Greater Framingham Track Club.
- WATER AEROBICS: Co-Ed classes held at Keefe Pool.Monday & Wednesdays 7:00-8:00 P.M. 6 weeks $36.00. Register March 26th at Recreation Office. Classes begin April 27th.
- WEIGHT LIFTING PROGRAM: Grades 8 and up. Monday through Thursday at Framingham High School. Begins June 22 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Register the first night. No fee.
- WRESTLING: Ages 13-19. Wednesdays beginning April 1st, 5:30-8:00 P.M. Framingham High School. $20.00 payable the first evening includes USA wrestling membership.
- WRESTLING CAMP: June 22-26; 9:00-4:00 P.M. Call Dan Balboni for info 788-0378.
- KARATE/Adults: Nick Cerio's Kenpo,Karate & Jujitsu. Mondays 7-8:00 PM.Register May 14th. 6 wks./$40. Classes held at 885 Waverly St. beginning July 13th.
- YOGA: Adults, Tuesdays 6:45-8:00 P.M. at the Brophy Gym; 6 weeks $30.00, begins April 7th. Register March 11th at the Recreation Office.
