1st Annual 5K Walk/Run/Dinner Benefit
Saturday Sept. 8, 2007 StopDomesticViolence


The Walk/Run starts at 9 a.m. from the Salvation Army parking lot
on Concord St. in Downtown Framingham.
The fundraising dinner begins at 7 p.m. at the Sheraton Hotel, Rt. 9, Framingham.
Both events benefit Domestic Violence Programs in Massachusetts & Arizona.

Tell your friends who are walkers and runners.

The first 250 people who sign up for the event online will receive an official T-Shirt!
Registration is only $ 20 prior to the event and $ 25 on the day of the event.

Fundraising Dinner


The fundraising dinner is $ 100 per person with exciting speakers and an auction.

The dinner will feature "Voices of Men" an informative and entertaining multi-media play dealing with sexual assault and date rape, dating violence and domestic violence, sexual harassment and objectification.
The play uses humor, celebrity male voice impressions, and video clips.

The play is written by Ben Atherton-Zeman, spokesperson for the
National Organization for Men Against Sexism and violence prevention.
He was worked on prevention education for rape crisis centers,
domestic violence programs, and state coalitions.

Key note speaker is Patricia White, who currently serves as the Associate Director of The Black Church and Domestic Violence Institute.
Her critical work emphasizes the spiritual impact of sexual assault and sexual violence on women within communities of color.
Originally from Lexington, Massachusetts, she relocated to Atlanta almost 20 years ago to lead a national women’s self-help initiative for the National Black Women’s Health Project. She developed and directed programs for the Women’s Interfaith Center for women survivors of child sexual abuse.

With your help women and children are kept safe and receive the help they need to start over. In addition your help stops the cycle of abuse.
Then and only then can you affect the abused, abuser and those affected by abuse build healthy relationships.
Platinum sponsors are prominently displayed on the web, in print and T shirts with free on site training for a gift of $10,000.
Gold sponsors are also prominently displayed for a gift of $5,000.
Silver sponsors are listed for a gift of $1,000.
There will only be one sponsor per industry.
