Description: Framingham Amateur Radio Association (FARA), is one of the oldest ham-radio clubs in America, has a varied, dynamic group of people, including persons of all ages, interests, and experience. FARA sponsors a wide range of activities, from radio contests to family social events, and we hope you'll want to take advantage of them. Club meetings, held on the first Thursday of each month, feature presentations on a wide range of topics. In addition, the club shack is regularly open on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings, for anyone interested (even if they are not yet licensed) to use the equipment, learn more about radio operations, or just socialize with other hams.
