Framingham, MA - At Access Framingham's Annual Meeting on Monday evening, (September 22, 2014), attendees heard about the successes of the past year, including a record number of new local productions spotlighting the community, challenges to come for Framingham public access television station and training center, and a very exciting bit of news.

President Bill Rabkin announced that Access Framingham will move to a new location near Framingham Centre Common, thanks to a new agreement with Gordon Real Estate, owners of the property at 4 Vernon Street which will house this new Community Media Center for Framingham. Design work is now underway for the new studio facility, and construction will take place in the coming weeks.
Since 2006, when Framingham Public Access Corporation was formed, the Town’s public access studio has been housed in “temporary” facilities at the rear of the Fuller Middle School.
Bill McColgan, Executive Director of Access Framingham, says the organization has greatly appreciated the partnership with the Framingham Public Schools over the years. “We look forward to more ways to collaborate in the future, but we did need to find a permanent home where a state-of-the-art studio could be created. AF-TV, Public Access T.V. in Framingham, MA
FRAMINGHAM, MA - Just a few spots still available in Video Production Camp at Access Framingham!
In August, AF-TV will offer a new Video Production Camp to young people ages 10-12. The dates are Monday, August 13th through Friday, August 17th, from 9:00am to 12:00 noon each day.
Campers will work together to develop and produce an original program. Every child will have a hands-on experience with studio cameras, microphones, control room switcher, graphics and audio. Students interested in video production, editing, and writing are strongly encouraged to participate. The final project will be played on Access Framingham TV and made available online on www.accessfram.tv
All participants will receive a DVD of the show. In order to ensure that each student gets individual attention and the maximum amount of hands-on experience, our class size is limited to 12 campers.
The cost of the one week workshop is $175.00, and includes a one-year AF-TV membership, which enables use of our studio facilities and certification, with parental supervision, to check out AF-TV production equipment to work on additional programming throughout the year.

FPAC-TV rebrands itself as ''Access Framingham'' and will use new logo (above) and new website address: www.accessfram.tv
FRAMINGHAM, MA - At Monday night's Annual Meeting of Framingham Public Access Corporation, FPAC members heard about the successes of the past year and challenges to come for Framingham's Community Media Center. Then the board and staff added a surprise announcement.
Beginning this week, FPAC will operate with a new name and logo, one that FPAC officials believe will reflect the organization's mission to engage, serve, and enrich the community by developing programming by and for the people of Framingham, providing educational opportunities, and facilitating the exchange of information through traditional and new media.
The new name for the five-year-old organization will be "Access Framingham".
