Hadassah, the Women's Zionist Organization of America, is a volunteer women's organization, whose members are motivated and inspired to strengthen their partnership with Israel, ensure Jewish continuity, and realize their potential as a dynamic force in American society.
Founded in 1912, Hadassah, is the largest women's and largest Jewish membership organization in the United States. In Israel, it supports medical care and research, education, and youth institutions, and reforestation and parks projects. In the United States, Hadassah enhances the quality of American and Jewish life through its education and youth programs, promotes health awareness, and provides personal enrichment for its members.
As part of the Southern New England Region of Hadassah, the newly merged mutigenerational Framingham-Natick Chapter of Hadassah has more than 600 members. The chapter's activities include fundraising, educational, and social events. The annual fall membership dinner, monthly programs, book club, holiday gift wrap at the Natick Mall, educational/study groups, evening at the Boston Pops, and the springtime donor dinner are among the most popular events. New members and new programming ideas are always welcome.
