University of Notre Dame Chorale at St. Bridget's

FRAMINGHAM, MA -- On Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010 at 7:30 pm the University of Notre Dame Chorale, the official concert choir of ND will give the fourth performance of its Winter Tour at St Bridget's Church.

The program features traditional Christmas carols, choral works by BYRD, Haydn, Verdi, Wagner, Handel & Debussy and school songs including the Notre Dame Victory March. It's free and open to the public. The Chorale is a mixed, 60 voice choir composed of students from all academic disciplines.

Accompanied by Paivi Ekroth, an accomplished concert pianist, and directed by Alexander Blachly, known internationally for his grammy-nominated Renaissance choir Pomerium, with which he has released thirteen commercial recordings of Renaissance choral music, and has directed the Chorale for the past 17 years in concerts throughout the US, Italy, France, Germany & New Zealand.
