Framingham Farmers Market

Fresh produce from local family farms can be found at the Framingham Farmer's Market on the Village Green in Framingham Centre each Thursday from noon 'til 5:30pm throughout the summer and fall.

Framingham, MA - With a nationwide effort to eat healthier and to support local business and family farms, shopping at the Framingham Farmer's Market helps locals meet these goals.

The market, located on the Framingham Centre Common, (also known as "The Village Green"), will be open each Thursday afternoons from 12:00 noon until 5:30PM from June 9th through October 27th, 2011.

With fruits and vegetables, (some picked just hours before the market opens), local residents and Framingham visitors have a chance tomeet the farmers who grow corn, lettuce, berries, tomatoes, peppers and much, much more on local Massachusetts farms.

Tom and Martha Hanson from Hanson’s Farm setup their stand with fresh picked seasonal vegetables, berries and beautiful flowers. If you can't get enough of their produce at the Thursday Farmer's Market -- you can visit their farm which is located in Nobscot at 20 Nixon Road. The farm features in-season U-Pick Strawberries, native corn  and a wide variety of  other veggies and flowers.  (In the fall, Hanson's Farm offers pick-your-own pumpkins, and their annual Haunted House and Spooky Hayrides).

And we can't forget Velma's "Wicked Delicious" Kettle Corn!  The smell of the popular fresh-popped salty sweet snack wafts through the air and gives shoppers something to munch on while perusing the market's fare.  But be warned -- shoppers hoard the stuff taking home several bags and the Kettle Corn sometimes sells out early!

Aside from farm fresh produce, vendors with fresh seafood, beef products and fresh baked baked goods from Great Harvest Breads are on-hand to make it a one-stop open-air shopping experience.
