Nutcracker Sweet - Ballet to Benefit the Athenaeum in Saxonville, December 6, 2014.

Saxonville, MA - The Athenaeum is getting a little help from its "Friends." The Friends of Saxonville hosts Nutcracker Sweet, a ballet performance to benefit the Athenaeum in Saxonville, presented by Mass Ballet. The production will be a ballet in the round performed by students of Mass Ballet on Saturday, December 6th, 2014 at 5:00pm.

Although the exterior of the Athenaeum has been restored, the interior is in complete disrepair. The Friends goal is to raise funds to help with construction costs, provide furnishings and accessories, and assist the town with operating expense support.

Event highlights include boxed dinner for purchase, a cash bar of fine wine and beer, a brief review of the planned restoration of The Athenaeum Community Hall, a ballet in the round featuring selected pieces from the Nutcracker Suite presented by students of Mass Ballet, and topped off with "Sweet Endings": a delicious selection of holiday sweets and beverages.

Event venue is generously donated by Megan Powers in the Dance Studio of Mass Ballet located in the Saxonville Mill, 2 Watson Place (not handicapped accessible). The recommended dress for the event is Casual.

Event Contribution is $15.00 per person or $40.00 per family of 4.

Boxed dinner (ordered online, in advance) is $10.00 for sandwich and snack.
