Free Fire Up Your Job Search Workshop

FRAMINGHAM, MA - A free workshop with helpful tips for professional women who are job hunting will be held this Tuesday, February 24th from 10 a.m. to noon at Tatnuck Booksellers & Café, 18 Lyman St., Westborough. The workshop is presented by the Leading Women MASS organization. Register online at leadingwomen.biz.

In their continuing effort to advance women in their careers and give back to the community, Leading Women MASS has committed to leading women back to work with free services, including this workshop, to assist the professional women of our community who are in job transition.

Feeling confident in the way you approach your job search is essential to a successful job transition. In this difficulty economy, it may be time to redirect current strategies and put winning techniques to work.

This workshop will focus on the following key points:

 Key networking tools to activate your network
 Is it too late to start a new career?
 Unleashing your inner desire to pursue entrepreneurship

Moderator: Victoria Waterman, President, Leading Women MASS

Victoria brings more than 20 years marketing and management experience from the banking and mortgage industries where her passion was developing services for women and networking with women professionals. She brings a welcoming abundance of energy, business savvy, and a driving passion for empowering women in their careers. Leading Women MASS provides leadership training, strategic networking opportunities, and other resources to women leaders in organizations.

Expert Panel:

Nancy Trout, President, HR Business Solutions

Nancy has worked in staffing and human resources for 18 years. She runs HR Business Solutions, a recruiting administration firm located in Worcester. Most recently she launched www.SuccessinCMA.com, a website devoted to promoting job opportunities, real estate, and recreation in the Central Massachusetts area. Nancy is an expert in the area of the recruiting process and systems. She assists area organizations in maximizing their recruiting efforts.

Linda Waters, President, Back to Business LLC

Linda brings over 20 years of corporate experience to her role as president and founder of Back to Business LLC. She is known for her intuitive style and her results-oriented approach to coaching and guiding others. She has a passion for helping women develop the confidence they need to successfully step out of their "comfort zones" and make positive career and life changes. Back to Business helps women reach their goals with clarity and confidence.

Carrie H. Johnson, Small Business Advisor

Carrie is an accomplished entrepreneur who went from living on welfare to becoming a multimillion dollar business owner. As an advisor, she specializes in business planning and development, marketing and public relations. Carrie stresses that finding your voice is the key to personal and professional success. She works with clients, such as the Center for Women and Enterprise, helping women (and men) start and grow their businesses. She also is a journalist and author. She has written for several newspapers and has a book, "From the Pits to the Palace" scheduled for release in March 2009.

FREE Admission: Although admission is free to the professional women in our community who are in job transition, seating is limited and advance registration is required.
