Current FPS Logo (as of July 2021).

FRAMINGHAM, MA - The Framingham Public Schools, (FPS), is seeking community input on a new logo to replace the current logo which is basically the old town seal with the words "FRAMINGHAM PUBLIC SCHOOLS" encircling it on a blue background.

According to an informational web page about the new logo, "the District is seeking a unique visual identity including a logo, defined colors, and fonts so that all marketing, recruitment, and district material can have a consistent look and feel."

The school district has chosen to move ahead with this branding effort for the start of the 2021-2022 school year, when it opens a new Welcome Center and plans to launch an updated, modernized website and to provide refreshed recruitment material to attract teachers and staff.

The redesign is well underway, (initial concept drawing were show and discussion took place during the June 23, 2021 School Committee Meeting), and the district is gathering community input on both the logo and slogan.

After eliminating earlier designs, there are two logo concepts to choose from:

Framingham public schools, new LOGO CONCEPT #1

- or -

Framingham public schools, new LOGO CONCEPT #2

The logo would be used for; offices / school department representation, website, social media, official FPS letterhead, business cards, recruitment material, calendars, newcomer guides, kindergarten booklets, FPS vehicle decals and more.

It should be noted that the new logo and branding will not affect the Framingham High School (FHS / Flyers) logo which is used on uniforms, scoreboards, or other FHS Arts / Athletics items.

Along with the logo, the district has three proposed slogans it would like community input on.

The slogan options are:

Embracing Different. Inspiring Futures.

- or -

Embracing Differences. Inspiring Futures.

- or -

Embracing Diversity. Inspiring Futures.

More detailed information and a Google Form for community input can be found at: https://www.smore.com/f68pb

The district is asking that FPS teachers/staff, students, parents and all Framingham residents and community members complete the Google Form and provide your input by July 23, 2021!
