Framingham Votes - 2010 MA State Election

If you don't vote, you can't complain! Be sure to make your vote count on November 2, 2010.

FRAMINGHAM, MA - The November 2nd 2010 election is just around the corner. Aside from the contested races for Governor, Lt. Governor, State Reps and other state and local offices, three ballot questions are sure to bring out many voters.

While the Town Clerk's office can provide you with information about where the polling place for your precinct is located, the easiest and fastest way to get the information is from the MA Secretary of State run website:  www.wheredoivotema.com

Note, several people have contacted me this week saying the "Where Do I Vote MA" website would not work for them.  In every case, the reason was due to entering incomplete or incorrect info.

If you enter your address and get a response saying "Your Search Produced No Results" or other error message, try again and;

Be sure that:

  • you have spelled everything correctly, (use the actual name of the street -- not route numbers, e.g. "Worcester Road" not "Rt. 9", "Cochituate Road" not "Rt. 30").
  • you have selected the correct option for "Street, Road, Drive, Circle, Avenue, etc, (this is especially important in situations where the town has similarly named streets like "Waverly Road" and "Waverly Court).
  • you have entered a valid and recognized apartment number, (e.g. - if your address is "67E" or "9B" you may want to try simply "67" or "9" as the database may not include your individual apartment unit letter).
  • you have entered the correct zipcode, (e.g.- entering 01701 for an address located in 01702 area will produce an error message).

Many people show up on Election Day, only to find they have not registered to vote, or their registration has lapsed.  If you have recently moved to Framingham, recently turned 18 years old, or have not voted in recent elections, it is advisable to contact the Town Clerk's office to be sure you are registered.  You will not be able to vote in the November 2, 2010 election unless you registered by the October 13, 2010 deadline.

If you can not obtain info about where to vote online, or have other questions about voter registration, polling places or elections, contact the Framingham Town Clerk's office at: (508) 532-5520, (between the hours of  8:30am and 5:00pm, Mon-Fri).

  1. Is it too hard to post the voting hours at WW School? I’ve scoured the Town Hall site, the WW site and many others. I cant find the hours anywhere. I think it’s vital info to people who care to vote.

  2. All polling places, (including Woodrow Wilson), will remain open until 8:00pm tonight.
