Salute to Framingham Nominations Open

Do you know someone who deserves to be recognized for their contributions to Framingham youth?

FRAMINGHAM, MA - The Framingham High School Foundation, (FHSF), has announced they are now accepting nominations for the 19th Annual "Salute to Framingham", which honors three individuals each year who have "made a real difference in the lives of Framingham's youth".

"The Salute to Framingham is the largest single annual fundraiser for Framingham High School."

In the past monies raised have helped to support a seemingly endless list of arts, sports and extra-curricular activities including; uniforms, gear, funding for trips and other contributions for sports teams including field hockey, boy's and girl's lacrosse, basketball, track, soccer, swim team including funding for the boy's basketball clinic, FHS band jackets, championship banners, goal posts, soccer nets, paying coaching fees, swim team pool usuage fees, equipment for the High School's Wellness Center and locker rooms,  support for the FHS Academic Development Center, equipment for FHS-TV and expenses for the High School's late / practice buses and so much more!

Recent "Salute to Framingham" honorees have included Framingham native and Boston Red Sox fan favorite Lou Merloni; Joe Shields a local attorney, coach and youth advocate; Rich Chesmore, summer track meet volunteer organizer;  Rev. Dr.J. Anthony Lloyd who works with the Boys & Girls Club and many other types of community involvement; Arthur DelPrete with nearly four decades of service in the Framingham school system; George Hulme of Fitts Insurance who does significant fund raising for FHS and the Framingham YMCA, and dozens of other individuals who have helped improve the quality of life in Framingham for all children.
