Roadwork Nears Completion for Winter

Framingham Traffic Alerts, Detours, Road & Bridge Construction, December 12th through 16th, 2011

FRAMINGHAM, MA - After months of work on the East Framingham Sewer Improvement project, the Fountain Street Bridge replacement and other capital improvement projects to roads and sewers in town, crews will soon be wrapping up construction for the winter.

Still, motorists may experience delays due to the following work sites and detours during the week of December 12th through 16th, 2011.

Work along Concord Street, (Rt. 126, north of Worcester Road), this week will include site restoration between School Street and Summer Street, including site cleaning activities, paving, loaming and seeding.  From 7:00am to 4:30pm, police will be directing a single lane alternating traffic management plan while construction activities are in progress.

Auburn Street will continue to be closed to through traffic.  A detour will remain in place while construction work isbeing completed.  In order to reach the eastern portion of Auburn Street, Auburn Street Extension and Beulah Street, traffic will be directed north on Edgell Road to Central Street, from Central Street to Kellogg Street, from Kellogg Street to Prospect Street, from Prospect Street to Worcester Road west, from Worcester Road west to Beulah Street or Auburn Street.

The Danforth Street Bridge remains closed. (This is a State project, additional info can be found on the MassDOT website www.massdot.state.ma.us).
