Framingham Construction Detours and Delays (July 1st - July 5th, 2013)

FRAMINGHAM, MA- Work on several major roadway, water, sewer and bridge projects in town will continue this week, (Monday through Friday, July 1st - July 5th, 2013).

The Town of Framingham's Department of Public Works, Highway Division and Capital Projects offers residents and visitors to Framingham helpful information about current and upcoming construction projects.

The email traffic advisory for the week of July 1st through July 5th, 2013 lists the following projects and advises motorists to expect detours or delays while traveling in these areas:

Grant Street/Pond Street Area - Water main construction activities are schedule to take place on Howe Street, "C" Street, and Wilson Street. Traffic will be managed thorough the work zone utilizing a one lane alternating traffic management plan. Construction activities are schedule to take place between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily.

Concord Street, (North Side, Saxonville Area) - Utility construction will take place on Concord Street, between School Street and Watson Place. Traffic will be managed through the work zone utilizing a one lane alternating traffic management plan around the construction activities. Temporary traffic control installation will continue on Concord St. at Danforth St., Danforth St. at Cottage St. and School St. at Cottage St. Traffic will be managed utilizing a one lane alternating traffic management plan around the construction activities. Construction activities within the Concord Street roadway will be between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily.

Wickford Road Bridge - Wickford Road Bridge is temporarily closed for rehabilitation by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT). It is anticipated that the Wickford Road Bridge will reopen once construction is complete in the late Fall of 2013. Expect delays while traveling in this area.

Winter Street Bridge, (at Dam, over Sudbury River) - The Winter Street Bridge over the Sudbury River will be temporarily closed on June 17th for bridge rehabilitation. It is anticipated that the Winter Street Bridge Over the Sudbury River will reopen in the Fall of 2013.

"A" Street - Sidewalk and curbing will continue on "A" Street. Traffic will be managed thorough the work zone utilizing a one lane alternating traffic management plan. Construction activities are schedule to take place between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily.

Guadalcanal Rd. & Oran Rd. - Roadway construction activities will continue on Guadalcanal Road and Oran Road with casting adjustments, loaming and seeding. Traffic will be managed thorough the work zone utilizing a one lane alternating traffic management plan. Construction activities are schedule to take place between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily.

Lincoln St. - Roadway drainage construction will continue on Lincoln Street. Traffic will be managed thorough the work zone utilizing a one lane alternating traffic management. Construction activities are schedule to take place between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily.

Speen St. - Roadway construction activities will continue with curbing and casting adjustments. Traffic will be managed thorough the work zone utilizing a one lane alternating traffic management plan. Construction activities are schedule to take place between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily.
